Center for Social Concerns
Over the past decade, there has been a notable increase in the amount of service work performed by U.S. college students. Between 2002 and 2005, for example, there was a 20 percent increase in volunteerism among college students nationwide.
For Notre Dame, however, volunteerism is not so much a trend as a way of life. Rooted in the University's profound commitment to Catholic social traditions, Notre Dame students, faculty, and staff continue to lead the nation in volunteerism and service–learning. In fact, every year more than 80 percent of our undergraduates serve the local, national, and global communities through the Center for Social Concerns (CSC).
Spirit of Notre Dame seeks $3 million to assist the CSC in helping students to live out their faith–filled commitment to service and social justice.
