How Does It Compare?

By every measure—financial, structural, and aspirational—Spirit of Notre Dame is the University's most ambitious fundraising effort to date. And, in every way, it builds upon the success of previous campaigns, each of which brought the University to a new threshold of distinction.

Like Generations (1994–2000), which made Notre Dame the first Catholic university to raise a billion dollars in a single campaign, Spirit of Notre Dame is now the largest campaign in the history of Catholic higher education. It is also among the most expansive fundraising drives currently being undertaken by any American college or university.

Accordingly, Spirit of Notre Dame stands to exact an unprecedented impact on Our Lady's University.

The common denominator among all of the University's campaigns has been the generous support of Notre Dame's alumni, parents, and friends. If it is to succeed, Spirit of Notre Dame will require the same enthusiastic response.
