How will you define what it means to be a young alumni of one of the nation’s top universities?
As a member of the Corby Young Alumni, you have the opportunity to change lives forever. With a $500 annual gift (or $42 a month) towards areas of immediate need and financial aid, you can directly impact Notre Dame’s ability to educate tomorrow’s creators, innovators, and leaders. Never has our world needed Notre Dame more than it does now.

Your Legacy
Your Corby membership is more valuable than just a dollar amount. Think about Appalachia trips, study abroad experiences, or research grants that took you all over the country and globe. What about late night trips to the Grotto, tailgate marathons that ended in swaying to the alma mater, or the friends you made over pasta stir-fry in the dining halls?

Corby Young Alumni

You prepared your mind, opened your heart, and fostered your faith while considering how you could be a force for good in the world. Today, you have the opportunity to create that experience for today’s students.

Your Gift
Your gift as a Corby Young Alumni is unrestricted, which means it will be allocated where it will help the most. These annual gifts are critical because they provide University leaders with the flexibility to meet needs that fall outside of tuition or endowment return spending. For this reason, gifts made to specific areas at Notre Dame (such as residence halls or student clubs) are not eligible for Corby membership.

How It Works
Membership is open to Notre Dame Alumni from the Classes of 2007-2016.
Class of 2016 minimum annual gift: $250
Class of 2007-2015 minimum annual gift: $500

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Corby part of the Sorin Society? What is the Sorin Society?
Corby is a part of Sorin Society reserved for young alumni of Notre Dame. Sorin Society is a group of individuals who donate between $1500 - $10,000 annually to the University of Notre Dame. These donations provide financial aid for students, further our mission and service, strengthen academics, and enhance student life.

Why should I give to Notre Dame?
Notre Dame is not only need blind, but the University is committed to meeting the full demonstrated need for every admitted student. This means that Admissions Officers don’t look at FAFSA forms or household income when they are admitting students. The average incoming freshman received $37,300 in need-based aid. With the Sorin Society contributing nearly $23 million last year, they provided the equivalent of 616 Notre Dame educations.

What is the deadline for making my gift?
In order to qualify for a recognition society in a particular year, you must make your full gift by the previous December 31.

Can I split up my gift into payments?
Yes. Absolutely. The full amount must just be made by December 31.

Why can’t I give to a Club or Residence Hall?
Your gift as a Corby Young Alumni  is unrestricted, which means it will be allocated where it will help the most. These annual gifts are critical because they provide University leaders with the flexibility to meet needs that fall outside of tuition or endowment return spending. For this reason, gifts made to specific areas at Notre Dame (such as residence halls or student clubs) are not eligible for Corby membership.
