The Edward Frederick Sorin Society
For 35 years now, the Sorin Society has made a difference for Notre Dame.
What is the Sorin Society?
The Edward Frederick Sorin Society is a group of alumni, parents, and friends who provide Notre Dame with a high level of annual unrestricted support. Through their gifts, members of the Sorin Society:
- Provide financial aid for deserving students
- Further our global service efforts
- Enhance academic and student life
- Advance our Catholic mission
- Support our areas of greatest need
How do I become a member?
Joining the Sorin Society is easy! Simply make an unrestricted gift at one of the following tiers of giving:
- Traditional: $1,500 or more
- Founder’s Circle: $5,000 or more
- Legacy: $10,000 or more
What are the benefits of membership?
All Sorin Society members receive:
- Access to the exclusive Sorin Society Members’ web community through myNotreDame.nd.edu, which include up-to-the-minute information and online communications.
- The President’s Newsletter, a monthly electronic newsletter from Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C.
- Invitations to special Sorin Society on-campus and regional events.
- A personalized membership card featuring exclusive on-campus discounts at Legends of Notre Dame, The Morris Inn, the Warren Golf Course Pro Shop and the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.
- “Special contributor status” in the Notre Dame Football Ticket Lottery. (1)
Founder’s Circle members receive the following additional benefits:
- Additional Notre Dame news and information through the Founder’s Circle member areas of the Sorin Society online community.
- A special ombudsman service for assistance with campus information needs.
- Access to The Summit Club, a private dining club in downtown South Bend, Indiana (2).
- Priority registration for home football game events.
- Parking assistance for home football games (1).
Legacy members enjoy all of the above-stated benefits, as well as:
- Special seating for select non-athletic campus performances.
- Expositions, the newsletter of the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.
- Invitations to exclusive Legacy member events.
- Additional assistance with tickets and parking for home football games (1).
(1) As outlined in the University’s Football Ticket Policy. In order to receive ticket and parking pass benefits, memberships must be fully underwritten no later than December 31st of the year prior to the football season.
(2) Members who choose to opt into this benefit must decrease the tax deduction of the contribution. Please contact the Sorin Society office for details.
