Capital Projects
Funding is occasionally needed for the construction, renovation, or refurbishment of campus facilities; such capital projects are intended to provide excellent and up-to-date environments for teaching, learning, community life, recreation, and spiritual growth.
Benefactors may name capital projects at varying amounts, as determined by the officers of the University in careful consultation with the University architect.

Jordan Hall of Science
In the fall of 2006, Notre Dame officially opened the doors of its new 202,000-sq.-ft. Jordan Hall of Science. The largest and most innovative undergraduate science teaching facility in the nation, Jordan Hall is the product of more than 100 benefactors’ generosity—chief among them lead donor and Notre Dame Trustee Jay Jordan.
