Senior Legacy
Want to give back to the University that has given you so much? Support your Senior Legacy.

What is the Senior Legacy?
The Senior Legacy is a collective gift to the University from the senior class. Each year the seniors vote and determine where to direct their gift. For example, the Class of 2009 created the Internship Assistance Fund and the Class of 2008 created the ECO Fund to further Notre Dame’s environmental initiatives.
How do I vote for my Senior Legacy?
After initial polling of the seniors, the Student Development Committee will narrow their suggestions down to the four options that they think respond best to Notre Dame’s current needs. Then, emails will be sent out notifying seniors when voting begins at the end of November.
The class will be informed in December about the finalized senior gift allocation.
Why give to the Senior Legacy?
There are so many reasons to give to the Senior Legacy. Here are just a few:
- The cost of your Notre Dame tuition really only covers about 50% of the actual expenses for educating each student. Alumni donations cover a significant portion of the remaining expenses.
- You love Notre Dame, and you want to leave your mark before you leave campus in May.
- You want to be eligible for the 2011 football ticket lottery (If you give $100 or more by December 31, 2010, you will be eligible for the 2011 lottery. As a 2010 grad, you will automatically be eligible for the 2010 lottery).
- Notre Dame ranks among the top schools for total alumni giving, however our senior giving rates are not nearly as high. The percentage of seniors who donate to the university has a direct impact on our U.S. News and World Report ranking.
Wouldn’t it be great if 100% of seniors showed their dedication to Notre Dame by giving a gift?
Every donation makes a difference, and we can truly leave a substantial mark if every senior makes a gift.
