“There is one thing that hasn't changed since I first stepped foot on campus, and that is how much the University depends on your contributions, large and small. There is no such thing as an insignificant gift - every gift to Notre Dame is a great one, as far as I am concerned.” This past spring, the University announced the creation of the Notre Dame Our Mother Scholarship, named in honor of Father Ted Hesburgh’s special devotion to the Blessed Mother.
Father Ted has invited all alumni, parents, and friends to contribute to this fund, which will provide immediate assistance to students in serious financial need -- thereby helping to educate them for lives of service. The first NDOM Scholarship will be awarded for the fall 2008 semester.
An unrestricted fund, the NDOM Scholarship recognizes the importance of all gifts, large and small. “There is no such thing as an insignificant gift,” said Father Ted. “Every gift to Notre Dame is a great one, as far as I am concerned.”
